The UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy is a set of regulations and measures implemented in the United Kingdom to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism. It aims to prevent criminals from using illicitly obtained funds or assets by ensuring that businesses and individuals adhere to strict anti-money laundering procedures.

CARDSERV is committed to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing activities within the online gaming industry. We recognize the importance of maintaining the integrity of our platform and complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) measures.

Our commitment is based on the following principles:

Compliance: We will adhere to all relevant UK legislation and regulations governing AML and CTF in the online gaming sector, including the Gambling Act 2005 and the Money Laundering Regulations 2017. We will also comply with the requirements set forth by regulatory authorities, such as the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Risk-Based Approach: We will implement a risk-based approach to identify and mitigate the specific money laundering and terrorist financing risks associated with our online gaming operations. This approach will consider factors such as customer risk, transaction risk, and product risk to ensure effective risk management.

Customer Due Diligence (CDD): We will conduct thorough customer due diligence to verify the identity of our customers and assess the legitimacy of their activities. This will include robust procedures for customer identification, verification, and ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): In cases where higher risks are identified, we will apply enhanced due diligence measures to obtain additional information and verify the source of funds and wealth. This will help us effectively manage the risks associated with politically exposed persons (PEPs) and other high-risk customers.

Record Keeping: We will maintain accurate and comprehensive records of customer identification, transactions, and due diligence measures. These records will be securely stored and retained for the required duration as mandated by applicable laws and regulations.

Reporting Suspicious Activities: We are committed to promptly detecting and reporting any suspicious transactions or activities that may indicate potential money laundering or terrorist financing. Our designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) will ensure that suspicious activity reports (SARs) are submitted to the relevant authorities, such as the National Crime Agency (NCA), in accordance with legal requirements.

Staff Training and Awareness: We will provide regular training and awareness programs to our employees, including senior management, to ensure they are knowledgeable about AML and CTF regulations, understand their responsibilities, and can effectively identify and report suspicious activities.

Compliance Monitoring and Review: We will establish internal monitoring and review processes to assess the effectiveness of our AML measures. This will include periodic independent audits or reviews to evaluate our compliance with the AML policy and identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuously improving our AML procedures and controls to adapt to emerging risks, changes in regulations, and industry best practices. We will stay updated with the latest developments in AML and CTF frameworks and incorporate necessary changes into our operations.

By implementing this AML policy, CARDSERV aims to maintain the highest standards of integrity and transparency within the online gaming industry. We expect all employees and stakeholders to fully adhere to this policy and actively contribute to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing activities.
